Pembengkakan payudara juga menyebabkan ibu menghentikan proses menyusui karena payudara terasa sakit, tidak nyaman saat menyusui, dan mengganggap jika payudara bermasalah maka proses menyusui dihentikan agar tidak menularkan penyakit kepada anaknya. Bukti menunjukkan kandungan pada daun sirih hijau (Piper betle L) mempunyai senyawa minyak atsiri dan flavonoid yang berfungsi sebagai antiinflamasi sehingga diharapkan dapat mengurangi pembengkakkan payudara lebih cepat. Tujuan: untuk mengetahui penagruh kompres daun sirih hijau terhadap penurunan pembengkakan payudara pada ibu postpartum. Metode: penelitian yang digunakan quasi eksperimental dengan pendekatan pretest-posttest control group design dengan jumlah sampel 40 ibu nifas. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan consecutive sampling sehingga diperoleh 20 responden kelompok intervensi (kompres daun sirih hijau) dan 20 responden kelompok kontrol (perawatan payudara). Pengukuran pembengkakkan payudara dengan menggunakan skala Durometer shore C. Analisis statistik dilakukan uji normalitas dengan Shapiro-Wilk, selanjutnya karena data tidak berdistribusi normal menggunakan uji mann whitney -test. Swelling of the breasts also causes the mother to stop the breastfeeding process because the breasts feel sore, and uncomfortable while breastfeeding, and they think that if there is a problem with the breasts, the breastfeeding process will be stopped so as not to transmit the disease to their child. Evidence shows that the content of green betel leaves (Piper betle L) has essential oil compounds and flavonoids that function as anti-inflammatories it is expected to reduce breast swelling more quickly. Objective: To determine the effect of green betel leaf compresses on reducing breast swelling in postpartum mothers. Methods: a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest control group design approach with a sample size of 40 postpartum mothers. Sampling used consecutive sampling to obtain 20 respondents in the intervention group (green betel leaf compress) and 20 respondents in the control group (breast care).
