Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui keluhan pasien presbyopia ketika pertama kali menggunakan lensa jenis PAL (PROGRESSIVE ADDITION LENS). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengumpulan data berupa metode deskriptif. Dengan menggunakan lembar kuesioner. Populasinya adalah pasien optik Orbit Cirebon berjumlah 60 orang, Hasil penelitian berdasarkan usia pasien responden yang pertama kali menggunakan lensa dengan jenis PAL (Progressive Addition Lens). Pada usia pasien 55-58 tahun yang dominan mengeluh pada penggunaan lensa progressive terdapat 25%, usia pasien 45 - 48 tahun terdapat 23.3%, usia pasien 50 - 53 tahun terdapat 16.7%, usia pasien 40 - 43 tahun 13.3%, usia pasien 60 - 63 tahun 11.7%, Sedangkan yang paling sedikit mengalami keluhan pada usia 63 - 65 tahun hanya 10%. Berdasarkan jenis lensa yang digunakan sebelum menggunakan lensa jenis progressive kategori freeform, dimana jumlah frekuensi dan persentase yang paling banyak menggunakan jenis lensa Single Vision /jarak dekat (35%), kemudian bifokal kryptock (20%), kemudian bifokal Flat – Top (26,7 %), dan yang paling sedikit menggunakan jenis lensa single vision atau jarak jauh (18,3%).

At the age of 55-58 years, patients who predominantly complained of using progressive lenses were 25%, patients aged 45-48 years were 23.3%, patients aged 50-53 years were 16.7%, patients aged 40-43 years were 13.3%, patients aged 60 - 63 years 11.7%, while the least experienced complaints at the age of 63 - 65 years only 10%. Based on the type of lens used before using the progressive type lens in the freeform category, where the number of frequencies and the highest percentage used the Single Vision / short-range lens type (35%), then the kryptock bifocal (20%), then the Flat – Top bifocal (26, 7 %), and those who use the least type of single vision or long distance lenses (18.3%).
