Gambaran Kelainan Refraksi Pada Mahasiswa Baru Program Studi Kesehatan Masyarakat STIKes Dharma Husada Bandung

Kelainan refraksi adalah keadaan bayangan tegas tidak dibentuk pada retina, dimana terjadi ketidak seimbangan sistem penglihatan apda amta menghasilakn bayangan yang kabur. Faktor lama mata bekerja mempunyai pengaruh yang besar terhadap kejadian miopia. Dalam rangka pencegahan penyebaran Corona Virus Disesase (COVID-19) proses belajar dari rumah dilaksanakan melalui daring sehingga mahasiswa lebih banyak melakukan pekerjaan jarak dekat yang mana beresiko menyebabkan gangguan penglihatan kelainan refraksi. Hal ini tentu mengundang rasa keingintahuan penulis untuk meneliti lebih lanjut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran kelainan refraksi pada mahasiswa baru Program Studi Sarjana Kesehatan Masyarakat, dengan total populasi dan sampel 36 bola mata. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif analisis. Hasil penelitian didapatkan gambaran kelainan refraksi terbanyak antara Miopia, Astigmatisme, dan Hipermetropia pada mata mahasiswa baru Program Studi Sarjana Kesehatan Masyarakat yaitu miopia 11 (30.5%) bola mata, astigmatisme 9 (25%) bola mata dan hipermetropia 0 (0%), dengan derajat berat tinggi pada miopia, dan derajat sedang pada astigmatisme.

Refractive error is a condition where a clear image is not formed on the retina, where there is an imbalance in the visual system which results in blurred images. The long working eye factor has a big influence on the incidence of myopia. In order to prevent the spread of Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) the learning process from home is carried out online so that students see more often at close range which is at risk of causing refractive errors. This certainly invites the curiosity of researchers to research further. The purpose of this study was to find out the description of refractive errors in the eyes of new students from the public health study program, with a total population and sample of 36 eyeballs. The research method used is descriptive analysis method. The result showed the most refractive error between myopia, astigmatism, and hypermetropia in the eyes of new students from the public health is myopia 11 (30.5%) eyeball, astigmatism 9 (25%) eyeball, and hypermetropia 0 (0%), with degrees high on myoia and moderate levels on astigmatism.
