ABSTRAK Yuanita Lestari PERBANDINGAN EFEKTIVITAS CLOCK DIAL DAN FAN CHART DENGAN METODE FOGGING PADA MAHASISWA D3 REFRAKSI OPTISI STIKES DHARMA HUSADA BANDUNG xvi + 52 halaman + 5 tabel + 2 bagan + 8 lampiran Beberapa macam metode dalam pemeriksaan astigmatisme diantaranya adalah metode fogging dengan dua objek yaitu clock dial dan fan chart, dalam pemeriksaan ini dibutuhkan hasil yang paling tepat dan efektif. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbandingan efektivitas teknik pemeriksaan astigmatisme menggunakan metode fogging dengan objek clock dial dan fan chart. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara analisis univariat untuk mengetahui distribusi frekuensi masing-masing variabel yang diteliti. Hasil penelitian didapatkan pemeriksaan astigmatisme menggunakan objek clock dial lebih efektif dibandingkan menggunakan objek fan chart. Efektivitas pemeriksaan astigmatisme diketahui bahwa dari 10 responden, 6 responden (60%) lebih efektif menggunakan objek clock dial pada pemeriksaan astigmatisme. Sementara itu, 4 responden (40%) lainnya lebih efektif menggunakan objek fan chart. Kata Kunci : Efektivitas, Clock Dial, Fan Chart Kepustakaan : 23 sumber

ABSTRACT Yuanita Lestari EFFECTIVENESS COMPARISON OF CLOCK DIAL AND FAN CHART WITH FOGGING METHOD IN D-3 OPTIC REFRACTION STUDENTS STIKES DHARMA HUSADA BANDUNG xiv + 52 pages + 6 tables + 2 charts + 8 appendices There are lot of methods of examination astigmatism, two of them are clock dial and fan chart.However to give the best service, a refraction optician needs to choose the most proper and effective method. The aim of this research is to identify the effectiveness comparisons astigmatism using fogging methods with object clock dial and fan charts. The research employed a descriptive quantitative method. The collected data were analyzed by using univariate analysis to find the frequency distribution of each examined variable. The result showed that astigmatism examination using clock dial objects is more effective than using fan chart objects. The effectiveness of astigmatism examination applied to 10 respondents demonstrated that 6 respondents (60%) felt more effective using the clock dial object on checking astigmatism.
