Program Studi Sarjana Keperawatan STIKES Dharma Husada Bandung 2022 2022 Abstrak Ana Kuspita PENGARUH NEGATIVE PRESSURE WOUND THERAPY (NPWT) TERHADAP PROSES PENYEMBUHAN ULKUS DIABETIKUM GRADE 2-3 (WAGNER) DI POLI KLINIK WOUNDCARE RS IMMANUEL DAN PRAKTEK MANDIRI KEPERAWATAN – PURWAKARTA Latar Belakang : Prevalensi Diabetes mellitus terus mengalami peningkatan. Seorang penderita diabetes beresiko mengalami ulkus diabetikum sebesar 15 -20 % .

Abstract

Abstrack EFFECT OF NEGATIVE PRESSURE WOUND THERAPY (NPWT) ON WOUND HEALING PROCESS OF ULKUS DIABETIKUM GRADE 2 -3 (WAGNER) AT WOUNDCARE CLINIC IMMANUEL HOSPITAL AND INDEPENDENT NURSING WOUNDCARE PRACTICE - PURWAKARTA Ana Kuspita Background: The prevalence of Diabetes mellitus has increased. A person with diabetes is at risk of diabetic ulcers by 15-20%. Comprehensive management is needed to prevent complications and decrease quality of life in diabetic ulcer patients. The technology currently used in modern wound care is the use of Negative pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) modalities. The purpose of this therapy is to evacuate exudate from the wound bed so the wound moisture still balanced, exudate and infectious material are wasted, reduce bacteria to controlled colonization, increase local blood circulation, and increase the growth of new cells that support increased granulation formation. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of Negative pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) on wound healing process of diabetic ulcers at the woundcare clinic of Immanuel Hospital and Independent Nursing Woundcare Practice – Purwakarta. Methods: This study is a quasi-experimental study with pre-test and post-test nonequivalent control group. The population and sample of this study were all patients with diabetic ulcers, a total of 20 people who did wound care at the woundcare clinic at Immanuel Hospital and Independent Nursing Practice - Purwakarta with purposive sampling technique. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis using Paried T-Test and Independent T-Test. Results: The average wound healing process in the intervention group before being given NPWT was 46 and after NPWT therapy was 28.20. The average wound healing process in the control group during the pre-test was 45.30 and at the post-test was 33. And there was an effect of Negative pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) on the healing process of diabetic ulcers at the woundcare clinic of Immanuel Hospital and Independent Practice of Nursing- Purwakarta with a p value of 0.001. Conclusion: There is an effect of using Negative pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) on the healing process of diabetic ulcers at the wound care clinic of Immanuel Hospital and Independent Nursing Woundcare Practice - Purwakarta
